Your information. Handled with care.
How Courio handles quote details, shipment records, photos and account information.
Effective November 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Courio Carrier Corporation handles information collected through this website, freight quote forms, customer portal, driver tools and shipment-tracking tools.
Information you provide
We collect the contact and company details you submit, including your name, email address and phone number. Freight requests may include pickup and destination details, preferred dates, descriptions, dimensions, weight, loading arrangements and equipment trailer information.
If you choose to upload or take a photo, the selected file is submitted with your request. Shipment records may also contain dispatch or driver updates, shipper/receiver names and signatures, pickup and delivery photos, invoices and proof-of-delivery documents. Assigned drivers can access the load details and documents needed for their assigned shipments. Photos and documents can contain personal information or embedded file metadata; avoid including unrelated personal or sensitive information.
Account and technical information
Sign-in supplies an account identifier and email address, and may supply a display name. We use the account identifier to associate your requests and shipments with your account. Hosting and sign-in providers may process technical information, such as IP addresses, browser details, security logs and cookies needed to deliver their services.
Quick-tracking requests use a shipment reference and access code. We store a hash of the access code rather than the readable code. A short-lived hash derived from the request’s IP address and time window is used to limit repeated tracking attempts.
How information is used
- Review and respond to quote requests and freight inquiries.
- Coordinate accepted shipments, pickup and delivery requirements.
- Provide customer account history, shipment milestones and documents.
- Maintain site access, troubleshoot problems and protect against misuse.
- Address requests, disputes and applicable recordkeeping obligations.
Access and service providers
Customer account records and uploaded documents require authorized access. Courio dispatch can access the records needed to manage requests and shipments. Hosting, authentication, database and file-storage providers process information as needed to operate these services.
A person with a valid shipment reference and quick-tracking code can see that shipment’s status, milestone timestamps, service type and available delivery estimate. Quick tracking does not provide customer contact details, freight photos or delivery documents. Share codes only with intended recipients; creating a replacement code invalidates the previous one.
Shipment information may also be shared with the pickup, receiving or service personnel involved in an accepted move, or when disclosure is required by applicable legal process.
Cookies, analytics and location
Sign-in and hosting services may use cookies or similar technology for account access and service operation. This website records aggregate page views and action counts, grouped by date, page and broad referral channel (direct, search, social or referral). These counts do not contain visitor identifiers, exact referrer addresses or analytics cookies. No advertising pixel is installed. A local-storage preference remembers whether you have dismissed the essential-technologies notice; it is not used for visitor tracking. It does not request continuous GPS tracking; shipment status reflects recorded dispatch updates. Camera access is initiated by your photo-selection action and controlled by your device and browser.
Retention and your choices
Quote, shipment and document records are retained to support business operations and applicable recordkeeping needs. This website does not apply an automatic deletion schedule to those records.
You may request access, correction or deletion by emailing delivery@couriocarriers.com. Include enough information to locate the relevant record, without emailing passwords or tracking codes. We may need to verify your identity or authority. Some records may need to be retained for legal, transaction or dispute-related reasons.
Security and third-party services
The website uses account authorization and restricted document access. No online system can guarantee absolute security. Keep sign-in credentials and tracking codes confidential. Authentication, email and other linked services have their own privacy practices.
Updates and contact
We may revise this policy to reflect changes in website features or information practices. The effective date identifies the version displayed here.
